What is a charitable SMS or phone call?

It is a tool for collecting funds, and an opportunity for non-profit organizations - an opportunity that Wind offers to its clients. Immediately accessible to all, charitable SMS messages or phone calls allow people to directly donate small sums: 1 or 2 euro via a simple SMS message, and 1, 2 or 5 euro via a simple phone call.
A gesture which, thanks to widespread participation and the generosity of our customers, allows us to reach important goals and objectives.
Wind-Infostrada technology at the service of non-profit associations: stable, free support, without added costs and not subject to IVA (Treasury resolution 124, 12/08/2005).
All funds collected are handed over in their entirety to the participating associations.

Who can donate?

All direct Wind mobile telecommunications customers and all direct Infostrada fixed telecommunications customers can donate.
Donating is easy. All you have to do is send an SMS or call the number assigned to the initiative.
Once you receive your message of confirmation, the corresponding sum will either automatically be subtracted from your phone credit, or will be added to your monthly phone bill.

In 2009 alone, Wind collected over 4 million euro in support of over 90 projects, which therefore represents a considerable growth on 2008 figures (€2,587,918 was collected), confirming the positive trend seen in the number of initiatives supported, messages and calls received, and funds collected.
