Wind adopts a school For the 3rd year the initiative “Wind adotta una Scuola” , launched in 2013, highlight the important relationship between schools and companies. The project, in cooperation with Sodalitas Foundation, aims to support students during the change from school to work and gives the possibilities to our employees to compare with new and stimulating contexts. Following the success of the previous editions, in 2015, it has been decided to confirm the initiative in the schools of Rome and Milan, and to add the students of a school in Naples. All the students will be hosted in the companies for a stage of 15 days and will take part in meetings on current topics, such as the simulation of a first job interview, writing a CV and complete different questionnaires that highlight their hopes and expectations regarding the work world.

New Life for your old Mobile The New Life for your Old Mobile initiative in collaboration with Doctors Without Borders (Médécins Sans Frontières) and Comprocellulari.it closed successfully. The project focussed on two main aspects: awareness of the environment and supporting medical activities in South Sudan, one of the most critical yet least known emergencies. Thanks to the help of Wind and its employees, we raised more than €15,000 by collecting old mobile phones at our main offices, a huge result obtained through the enthusiasm and participation of our people. An old mobile phone is worth at least 1 euro. The profits allowed Doctors Without Borders to guarantee complete malnutrition care for 70 children for three months, as well as providing a safe birth and quality obstetrical care for 500 mothers and babies.

Giving blood Thanks to a valuable partnership with the Italian Red Cross and AVIS, for the last seven years WIND employees have taken part in the biannual (April and October) blood donation campaign held in our Rome, Milan, Ivrea and Naples offices. A simple but important gesture for a charity initiative that more and more Wind employees participate in every year, with increasing enthusiasm. Blood supplies are essential for emergency services, paramedics and cancer treatments.

Race for the cure For the 10th consecutive year, Wind is taking part in Race For the Cure, the marathon organised by the Susan G.Komen Foundation to support the fight against breast cancer and to raise public awareness of the importance of prevention. In the last four years, Wind has won the award for the second corporate team with the most participating employees, and has always contributed to research by doubling the value of all those who sign up. The contribution offered to such an important initiative will help many women deal with the disease. Wind would like to thank the Susan G.Komen Foundation for the extraordinary work that they perform every day in the fight against breast cancer, and our own employees for the commitment and passion that they show every year taking part in the initiative.
