Wind Startup Award: Friendz wins the competition and flies to the Silicon Valley

Rome, 22 March 2016 – Wind Startup Award, the initiative organized by Wind Business Factor, la business community developed by Wind in collaboration with the Gruppo DigiTouch, ended on March 18th 2016 with a final event held in Rome, at the LUISS ENLABS headquarters, during the ‘Festival della Crescita’ (Growth Festival). Friendz won first place and a scholarship to fly to the Startup School of Mind The Bridge in the Silicon Valley.
Wind Startup Award is an acceleration program dedicated to entrepreneurial  projects and to startup’s which create value and develop innovative digital solutions. The five startup’s which reached the final were selected at the end of a four week training program, during which the teams were sustained by their tutors and the Wind Business Factor staff.
Every startup finalist  held a pitch in front of a jury made up of some of the most important investors and Italian businesses: Daniele della Seta (LVenture Group), Domenico Nesci (Angel Partner Group), Simone Ranucci Brandimarte (Withfounders) e Alessio Semola (Prana Ventures). The final prize went to the project brought by Friendz.
Friendz is a platform through which one can activate a profiled community of thousands of common, non “influencer people”, to create marketing campaigns on social networks through the production and the publication of pictures and other online actions.  
Founded in august 2015, Friendz is a team of 13 people with multinational clients and an extremely reactive community of over 20 thousand users.
With the closure of this new edition of the Wind Startup Award, the company headed by Maximo Ibarra confirms its engagement to support the new generations of entrepreneurs and of the Italian startup ecosystem, a lab of new visions and concrete solutions to improve and innovate products , services and processes.
Wind Business Factor is a virtual  accelerator and a training program developed by Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.A. in 2011 to favour the birth and the development of Italian startups, help small and medium –sized enterprises to innovate their business model and orient youngsters in the world of new professions. It has currently reached the important goal of activating a network of 32.000 entrepreneurs and innovators who are registered to the platform and about 20.000 fans/followers  on the main social media, supporting 5.000 ideas of startups registered to the business community. The users of the platform can use up to 700 training contents and interviews of entrepreneurs, investors and experts of the sector.
