Earthquake, Wind: mobile and fixed network regularly operate Launched initiatives supporting the population involved


Rome, August 24 2016 - Wind announced that its mobile and fixed network (Infostrada) sites regularly operate in areas of central Italy hit by the earthquake last night. The company  has undertaken a number of specific technical actions to ensure the continuity of service to regions affected by the earthquake, where they were alread sent joined mobile with Wind power generators Emergency, available to the Civil Protection secure communications services necessary to rescue operations.

Meanwhile, as the first intervention support of mobile customers resident in the areas more affected by the earthquake, Wind is taking steps to accredit a free telephone traffic bonus and to suspend activities of credit management. The company is also considering further initiatives in support of the population, which will be implemented in the coming days.

Wind-Infostrada, along with other telephone operators and in agreement with the Department of Civil Protection, has activated 45500 solidarity number to raise funds in favor of the population affected by the earthquake in the center Italy. Clients can donate 2 euros via SMS or fixed line. The revenues will be fully donated to the Department of Civil Protection for aid and assistance.
